Okotoks' last Repair Cafe of the year is this Saturday, Oct. 22.

The events are held regularly in Okotoks and are a chance to breathe new life into household objects, and hopefully, save you some money.

Okotokians are invited to bring broken items to see if one of the 12 volunteers can fix them.

A release from the town showcases the broad range of items that can be brought in:

"Volunteers hold a variety of skills and have fixed a wide variety of items at previous Repair Cafés including gaming consoles, wine fridge, garage door opener, laptop, fan, watch, coffee grinder, hairdryer, Kitchen Aid mixer, microwave, food saver, lamps, toy figurines, winter jackets and other clothing, air purifiers, stuffed animals, camera, Victrola Turntable, musical instruments
and an iRobot charger."

According to the town, at the last event on June, 18 of the 30 items that were brought in were fixed.

The event runs from 12-4 p.m. at the Centennial Arena's Olympic Room.
