The Okotoks Oilers had an impressive start to the AJHL playoffs over the weekend.

They were paired up against the Camrose Kodiaks in the AJHL south division quarter finals.

Oilers captain Dean Spak scored the game-winning goal in Friday night's game-one match with just 2:28 left on the clock.

The Oil ended up winning 3-2 taking a 1-0 game lead in the best of seven series.

With home ice advantage going to the Oilers, they were able to secure a game two win at the Centennial on Saturday night.

The Oilers had their backs up against the wall on Saturday though as they were down 3-1 at the end of the first period.

But the team kept battling back and scored four unanswered goals for a 5-3 victory and now lead the series two games to none.

The teams will now battle in Camrose tomorrow and Wednesday night at 7 p.m. for games three and four.

You can listen to all the play-by-play on the Eagle 100.9 or listen to it streamed on Okotoks Online.

The pre-game show starts 15 minutes before game time.
