High River Flyers Forwards Jakob Jefferies and Logan MacLean celebrated their 100th junior game Sunday, Jan 19th.

MacLean played his whole career with the Flyers over the last 3 seasons, MacLean says he remembers the first day of training camp:

"I can still remember training camp when I was 18 my first year, sitting there staring not knowing any of the guys hoping to make it, not knowing if I was gonna make it, three years later still here playing, I got nothing on captain McTighe, he's got over 150 games but I think its a good little accomplishment for myself."

MacLean says playing alongside McTighe for the last three years has formed a close friendship:

"I consider us really good friends, if there is one guy on the team I gotta go to, even if its something personal, its always him, he's one of those guys whos really down to earth and he's always ready to help."

MacLean says being a Flyer is more than just being a hockey player:

"We strive to be good in the community and be good role-models for the kids, I think that comes through, even when I'm walking before games and kids are on the ice and they know me by name and they say "hey Logan hows a going" and I just look at them like wow, I really didn't realize what we do for the community and i think it's really shown, so ya we just try and do our best to be good people on and off the ice and in all aspects of life."

Also celebrating 100 junior games played in Jakob Jefferies, Jefferies played the beginning of his Junior career in the U.S. at College Station in Texas, he played 20 games there also playing 3 games in Arizona for the Arizona Hawks in Peoria, AZ before joining the Flyers at the end of the 2017-18 season during playoffs.

MacLean says Jefferies is a huge part of the Flyers offense:

"He's a big part of our offense, I knew him when we were playing midget hockey in the same association, then he went down to Texas to play his first year of junior, then joined the Flyers right at the end of the year during our playoff run, he's a huge offensive threat for us, he's super quick on the puck and is a guy that we really lean on to put the puck in the net on powerplays."

MacLean, Jefferies, and McTighe all celebrated large milestones this year in games played, Flyers Defenseman Chase Groenvled will also be playing his 100th career game with the Flyers before this season ends as he is at 97 games played with 3 games left in the season.
