Things were looking good for the Okotoks Oilers early Thursday night at home against the Brooks Bandits, but they fell apart quick as the Oilers ended up on the wrong end of a 3-1 loss.

Matt McNair got the night going 4:25 into the first as he popped his team leading 18th goal of the season.

But that was it for the Oilers as the Bandits scored three straight power play goals to take the win and move eight points up on the fourth place Oilers in the AJHL's South Division.

The Oilers are back at it Friday night when the Calgary Canucks come to town.
