The Canadian Finals Rodeo gets going Wednesday, November 9, up in Edmonton with the first go-round.

Pincher Creek Saddlebronc rider Dustin Flundra says he's been taking it easy heading into the CFR so he's healthy and ready to go.

"When you get to Edmonton I want to be ready and know that I don't have excuses or what not on the physical side and you know the mental side. And just be as prepared as I can now going into that first round on Wednesday night when we get into Edmonton."

Some of the locals taking part are Millarville's Sam Kelts, and Nanton's Clay Elliot in Saddlebronc, along with Strathmore's Scott Schiffner in Bull Riding.

The CFR runs through to the finals on Sunday, November 13.
