The celebrity judges at this year's Calgary Stampede Parade will be familiar to many Canadians, especially High Riverites.

Heartland stars Amber Marshall, Chris Potter, and Shaun Johnston were announced as this year's judges, who'll be choosing winners in several categories, with 100 entries.

The CBC drama is filmed largely in High River, which stands in as the show's fictional backdrop of Hudson, Alberta.

It's Canada's longest-running one-hour scripted drama and is in the middle of filming for its 18th season.

Marshall, who lives on a ranch in Foothills County, previously served as the Calgary Stampede Parade Marshal in 2019.

The 2024 Calgary Stampede Parade is being held on Friday, July 5, at 9 a.m.

The trio of newly-announced judges filmed a video for the occasion.
