If you’re looking for something to do this weekend with the family, there is no shortage of events happening in Okotoks. 

On the ball diamonds, the Foothills Fury Classic Tournament will be held at Okotoks On Deck Recreation Park. The event billed as Western Canada's Largest Invitational Female Fastpitch Tournament will welcome more than 800 female players from U7 to U19. 

The Tournament runs until Sunday afternoon. 

On Saturday, a large portion of Elizabeth Street will host the Annual Pride Foothills Wide Street Festival from noon to 8 p.m. 

The event is being organized by the True Colors Rainbow Alliance and is an all-ages event that will have circus activities, food trucks, vendors, balloon animals, community groups, activities, a 360-degree photo booth, face painting, a bubble station, and entertainment on the two stages on the festival grounds 

Because of the festival, parts of Elizabeth Street will be closed to vehicle traffic for much of Saturday. 

Also on Saturday, Okotoks Ford is holding its annual Model A & Model T Show from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Harrison O’Nyons with the Eagle 100.9 will be on location for the big event. 

Other events taking place on Saturday include the Town of Okotoks’ Repair Cafe from 12 - 4 p.m. at the Centennial Arena, a Euchre Tournament at the Seniors Club from 1 – 5 p.m. and free admission to the Art Gallery and Museum from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

Sunday will be the last day to take part in the 2024 Okotoks Film Festival with films running from 1 p.m. through 7 p.m. at the Okotoks Cinema with the wrap up party happening after the final movie. 

Also on Sunday, there is an invitation to try BMX with the Okotoks BMX Club and the 20th anniversary celebration of Tribal Connection Market. 

The weather is expected to be nice too with highs in the low to mid 20s with no rain in the forecast.
